No Australian system has the hierarchy or structure that is in place in OKaicho Malcolm Anderson Bushikai.

In 1971, OKaicho Malcolm Anderson started with Zen Do Kai under the instruction of Bob Jones in Melbourne, a year later, in 1972, OKaicho was the first student to graduate the Jet Black system (white to Black Belt in 12 months).
After moving to Queensland in 1980, OKaicho started his own clan, Bloodaxe Dojos, as a 3rd Dan, also running all other Queensland based clubs, making him head instructor of Zen Do Kai Queensland.
In 2001 OKaicho Malcolm created Anderson Bushikai after a split from Bob Jones and Zen Do Kai. He took the style back to it's original roots of Martial Arts. His innovative way of thinking affected many people throughout Queensland, thus creating the strongest higher ranks in any system. He has continued to expand and refine his style by establishing higher rank gradings (6th, 7th and 8th Degree) and delving into the more spiritual side of martial arts, by studying shamanism and many forms of runic language. He re-created the warlords camp in 2004, in which the first 7th Degree grading was held. OKaicho Malcolm Anderson has travelled to Thailand many times and has learned the art of Muay Thai from the masters at Fairtex Gym in Bangkok. Knowing there would be an opportunity to introduce this art into his style, he opened Bloodaxe Stable, teaching traditional Muay Thai to all people from all walks of life.
As the head instructor of Anderson Bushikai, OKaicho has put into place a system of hierarchy where family heads bring students through to a level where clans are created and a family network exists. Training through the Anderson Bushikai system is not only a martial arts form, but also the adoption of a family. It teaches discipline and self respect through working with each other to learn mental and physical tools that enable us to lead secure and productive lives. As a martial artist, OKaicho could simply be descibed as amazing. As a mentor to all his students he is nothing less than inspirational.

We of Bishamon Dojos fall under the Family Head of Nemesis, first established by the late Hanchi Noel Hattwell, which is now run by Tasshi David Hughes. A very young David Hughes unofficially started training in his backyard in the early 70's as the younger brother of the legendry Phillip Hughes, who was one of the original students of the late Hanchi Noel Hattwell.
Tasshi David Hughes officially began his martial arts journey in 1987 at the Breakfast Creek Dojo, which was run by Kyoshi Roy Lersa and frequented by Hanchi Noel Hattwell, two of the original warlords of the Zen Do Kai system.
Within twelve months of starting his official training, he was already recognised as a serious kickboxing competitor and was encouraged to fight for a state title. Tasshi David approached Hanchi Noel Hattwell to help train him in order to achieve this goal.
There have been several other martial artists which have had a positive influence on Tasshi David's training, some being the likes of OKaicho Malcolm Anderson, Nick Hughes, Bain Stewart, Cameron Quinn, Matt Burnett - all with skills of building young martial artists into brilliant people. One of Hanchi Noel Hattwell's favourite sayings was "As instructors it is our job to build people's spirits, not break them."
As of this year, Tasshi David Hughes as been in the system for 22 years. Nemesis Camp Hill, located at 626 Old Cleveland Road,  has just turned 17 years old this July, which makes Tasshi David Hughes one of Anderson Bushikai's longest serving members.
Here at Bishamon Arena Dojos we feel very privliged to be training under the guidance of Tasshi David Hughes (6th Degree Black Belt), Head of the Nemesis family.
